Washington Post: Immigration Officers Are Being Diverted to Trump’s Voter-Fraud Effort
The Washington Post reports that hundreds of USCIS fraud-detection officers have been reassigned to help identify potential noncitizens registered to vote, raising concerns about delays in immigration application processing. AILA Senior Director of Government Relations Shavari Dalal-Dheini warned that “as cases go unadjudicated, individuals fall out of status, becoming susceptible to ICE enforcement.”
