USCIS Publishes New Edition of Form I-864, Effective Immediately
Today, USCIS published a new edition of Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA, with an edition date of August 24, 2026. USCIS will not provide a grace period and will only accept this edition of the form beginning today, August 31, 2026. As a reminder, USCIS will require revised editions of Forms I-539 and I-765 beginning September 15, 2026, and a revised edition of Form I-485 beginning September 18, 2026. Old editions will be rejected with no grace period.
