NPR: Trump Administration’s 75-Country Visa Ban Was Illegal, Judge Rules
NPR reports that a federal judge in the Southern District of New York struck down the Trump Administration’s policy suspending immigrant visa issuance to nationals of 75 countries, ruling that the policy violated federal immigration law by discriminating based solely on nationality. The court vacated the visa ban and set aside visa denials based solely on the policy, which plaintiffs’ attorneys said will allow their clients to proceed through the immigration process.
