EOIR and USCIS Announce Inflationary Fee Increases
Yesterday, EOIR published a notice announcing inflationary adjustments to certain immigration-related filing fees for DHS forms filed with EOIR for FY 2027, as required by H.R. 1. The affected forms include Forms I-485, I-589 (Annual Asylum Fee), I-601, and I-821. The new fees take effect tomorrow, October 1, 2026, and must be included with filings postmarked on or after that date. Additionally, USCIS also announced that it will publish a notice of inflationary fee increases for certain immigration-related fees, effective October 16, 2026.
